A Family Tradition Since 1919...
Our hearts go out to the Bennet and Holdtman families who own and operate Aimhi Lodge on Little Sebago Lake in Windham. The recent "Nor'easter" which did so much damage in Maine (which thankfully spared us at Migis...) had a devastating impact on their resort, and after spending two weeks assessing the damage (which included the destruction of their electrical system, many trees down, and severe damage to two of the cottages) they made the heart wrenching decision to cease operations. Since 1919, Aimhi has been welcoming guests to a property in many ways similar to Migis Lodge. Guests stayed in cottages with names like What Not & Hoot Owl, Naughty Pine & Waldorf, and enjoyed family style meals in the Dining Room, and lakeside Lobster Bakes. Aimhi's cove on Little Sebago was great for swimming, boating, and fishing, and the resort had har-tru tennis courts and shuffleboard for more active guests. Susan Bennett has been in contact with Tim and Joan who are helping to try to find vacation spots for Aimhi's displaced guests. It is always sad to see a business close and we are sure that no one would have imagined that our wonderful neighbor would close its doors in this way. Good luck and best wishes to The Bennetts, The Holdmans, and all Aimhi guests and friends.
